Aramaic 1

Part 1 of a 3 - Part course in ancient Aramaic, and presumes a basic competency in Biblical Hebrew.

Live classes meet weekly to cover vocabulary, grammar, and translation practice. New knowledge and skill is linked to and compared with Hebrew grammar as well as ancient Semitic languages more broadly.

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

• translate basic Aramaic sentences into English

• evaluate existing English translations based upon the original text

• think more deeply about the meaning of passages of Scripture

• share truths from God’s Word with greater clarity and confidence
