TelosTorah Policy and Procedures

Welcome to TelosTorah, where we explore biblical languages and history together in a spirit of learning and community. As a non-profit organization dedicated to education and worship, we rely on the generous support of donations and class fees to continue our mission. To ensure a positive and enriching experience for all participants, please review and acknowledge the following policies and procedures.

1. Class Conduct Policy

Learning Environment Standards

At TelosTorah Bible Academy, we are committed to maintaining a respectful and productive learning environment for all students. We expect all participants to:

  • Come to class with an open mind ready to learn - Approach each session with curiosity and willingness to engage with new concepts and perspectives

  • Treat the instructor and other students with respect - Maintain courteous and professional behavior in all interactions, both verbal and written

  • Ask questions appropriate to the subject matter being taught - Keep inquiries relevant to the current lesson topic to maintain focus and maximize learning for all

  • Limit questions to ensure everyone has an opportunity to participate - Be mindful that class time is shared among all students; allow others the chance to ask questions and contribute to discussions

  • Participate constructively in class discussions while being mindful of time and other students' needs

Recording and Sharing Policy

Please be aware that all classes are recorded and shared with other students for educational purposes. This allows students to review material and provides access to those who may have missed a session. By participating in any TelosTorah class, you give explicit consent to be recorded and for that recording to be shared with other enrolled students. If you have concerns about being recorded, please contact us before the class begins to discuss alternatives.

2. Shabbat Service Policy

Service Participation Guidelines

Our Saturday Shabbat services are sacred times of worship, reflection, and community building. To honor this special time together, we ask all participants to:

  • Honor and respect “Praise and Prayer” time - Be mindful of group sharing during the Praise and Prayer portion of our Shabbat service. Be considerate of all those that wish to share by keeping your sharing concise and to the point. It is expected that what members share during the Praise and Prayer portion of our Shabbat service will be kept confidential by the community. (Sharing during “Praise and Prayer” time is NOT recorded and is NOT included in the recording consent below.)

  • Be respectful of others and the instructor - Maintain a reverent and considerate attitude throughout the service

  • Take turns in sharing thoughts and ideas - Allow space for all voices to be heard and contribute to our collective learning experience

  • Be mindful of your questions regarding subject matter - Ensure that questions and comments are appropriate to the spiritual nature of the service and relevant to the topics being discussed

  • Come with an open mind and heart - Approach the service ready to receive spiritual insight and connect with our community in meaningful ways

Recording and Consent Policy

All Shabbat services are recorded and shared for the benefit of our community members who cannot attend in person and for future reference. Your participation in any Shabbat service constitutes consent to be recorded, including your questions, comments, and participation. These recordings may be shared online for future use as part of our ministry and educational outreach. If you prefer not to be recorded, please speak with leadership before the service begins. The Praise and Prayer portion of our Shabbat service is NOT recorded and is for live participants only.
