Hebrew Reading 1
Part 1 of a 3-Part course. For the 2025–26 school year we will be reading the Book of Chronicles account of Yehoshaphat, Fourth King of Judah (9th c. BC), along with its parallels in the Book of Kings.
Prerequisite: At least 1 year of Hebrew grammar or permission from instructor.
This class seeks to cultivate a close, attentive, and careful reading of Scripture in Hebrew from a Yeshua-centered and sacred canonical (66-Book) hermeneutic. Prioritization is given to all relevant aspects of Hebrew grammar, ancient cultural context, scribal transmission, and interpretation histories. Participants engage at the highest levels, with many opportunities to read aloud, share translation work, and discuss any number of topics relevant to the selected passages of Scripture.
